Layi, the recipient of the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for Best Online Content Creator, expressed his preference for the term “partnership” over “girlfriend”.

Layi elaborated that he typically initiates his relationships with a period of courtship, during which he assesses the potential for a lifelong partnership with the individual.

He shared this perspective during his recent appearance on the podcast “Is This Seat Taken?”

“I don’t believe in the concept of a girlfriend. I believe in partnership. I don’t believe in that phase of girlfriends. I start with courtship. I have to see the wife in the person from the beginning,” Layi Wasabi said.
