Lawyer Boateng Wins Ejisu Constituency Parliamentary Primary Election

Lawyer Kwabena Boateng, the 2nd Deputy Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ejisu Constituency, emerged victorious in the parliamentary primary held on April 13, 2024.

He secured 393 votes out of the total votes cast, with his closest contender being Helena Mensah who got 302 votes.

Former Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi who is popular among the aspirants clocked 35 votes.

Despite overcoming initial detention at the hospital on Friday night to make it to the voting centre.

Mr Nyantakyi’s number of polled votes puts him in 5th place on the ballot with the incumbent.

Portia Acheampong Abronye, the wife of the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) got 6 votes.
