Popular actress, Lauren Vélez does not have any children. She was married to Mark Gordon for 22 years; from 1993 to 2015. However, some sources also claim that she has a son called Joaquin.

Velez herself once shared in an interview that she does not have any children but she has several nieces and nephews.
“I don’t have children, but I have 17 nieces and nephews, and they more than makeup for anything that I can do. I have a stepdaughter and I adore her to pieces, and I think about adoption. There are so many kids at different ages and stages that need families,” she said.

Her parents moved from Puerto Rico to Brooklyn, New York, with her twin sister, Lorraine. She also has five other sisters and one brother. Her father was a police officer at the New York City Police Department Officer. The family moved to Far Rockaway, Queens.
Vélez made her debut film appearance in the 1994 film I Like It Like That along with other cast members including Rita Moreno and Jon Seda.
