Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Cardiologist, Lauren Glistrap, died on October 21, 2022, at the age of 38.

The late Cardiologist has been described as a “person of deep faith”, who would choose skiing and snowboarding as her hobbies anytime anyday.

Many have also described her as “an amazingly effective clinician, outstanding scholar, and gifted educator”.

Gilstrap who was a supporter of the LGBTQ community, is survived by her wife, Janet Milley; children, Katelyn and David; parents, Rodney and Sherry Gilstrap; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Meggie Gilstrap; and nieces, Abbie and Zoe.

A memorial service was held in her honour at The Church of Christ at Dartmouth College, on October 29, 2022.

Who Was Lauren Glistrap?

Lauren Glistrap was a heart failure and transplant expert, who worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

She doubled as a professor at the Geisel School of Medicine and The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.

Gilstrap who began working at DHMC in 2018, was able to change the quality of clinical heart care for the better.

Glistrap is a graduate of the University from Texas, Austin, as well as the Harvard Medical School.

She further bagged a master’s degree from Harvard’s School of Public Health.
