Taylor, who earned 16 caps for the national team, expressed his opinion that Kingston’s tactical acumen surpasses that of Addo, despite Kingston’s current role as the coach of Ghana’s U17 team.

Kingston recently led the Black Starlets to a resounding 5-1 victory over Ivory Coast in the 2024 WAFU Zone B U17 Championship. In contrast, Otto Addo was reappointed as the Black Stars coach earlier this year after Chris Hughton’s dismissal.

Addo previously served as Ghana’s interim coach, guiding the team to the group stage of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Since returning to the role in February, Ghana has played two international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda, losing to Nigeria and drawing with Uganda.

Taylor believes that Kingston’s coaching abilities extend beyond the U17 level and that he is deserving of coaching a higher-level team like the Black Stars.

According to Taylor, Kingston’s tactical prowess and ability to command players to execute strategies make him a superior choice for the Black Stars.

Taylor expressed confidence in Kingston’s potential to elevate the team’s performance significantly, emphasizing his belief that Kingston’s coaching expertise surpasses that of Addo.
