Larry King was an American radio and television journalist. Larry King was born on November 19, 1933, in Brooklyn.

He was the son of Jennie Gitlitz, a garment worker from Minsk, Russian Empire, and Aaron Zeiger, a restaurant owner and defense-plant worker from Pinsk, Russian Empire.
His parents were Orthodox Jews who came to America from Belarus in the 1930s. He attended Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, a public high school.
In the 1950s and 1960s, he was a WMBM radio interviewer in the Miami area, and he rose to prominence in 1978 as the host of The Larry King Show, an all-night nationwide call-in radio programme heard on the Mutual Broadcasting System.

From 1985 to 2010, he was the host of CNN’s nightly interview show Larry King Live. From 2012 to 2020, King hosted Larry King Now, which aired on Hulu, Ora TV, and RT America.
From 2013 to 2020, he hosted Politicking with Larry King, a weekly political talk show on the same three channels.
King also appeared in TV shows and films, usually as himself. He remained active until his death in 2021, at the age of 87, from COVID-19 and sepsis complications.
