According to the Commissioner, a total of 350 suspected cholera cases were reported in 29 wards across the state. Of these, 17 cases were confirmed to be cholera, and 15 fatalities were attributed to the disease.

Professor Abayomi attributed the decline in cases to the state’s public health prevention campaigns, which included community-based case finding and contact tracing.
He emphasized that the state is intensifying its efforts to prevent a resurgence of the disease.
