Kyle Brown (ESPN) Cause of Death

ESPN director and longtime staffer, Kyle Brown has died suddenly after suffering a medical emergency while at a college baseball event. He was working at an NCAA baseball super regional in Winston Salem, N. C, when his untimely death occurred. Brown was 42 years old.

A 16-year ESPN employee, Kyle was a deeply admired member of our production team – and highly accomplished, having captured two Sports Emmy Awards while working a multitude of sports from baseball and basketball to Monday Night Football and college football,” ESPN said in an official statement.

“Kyle cherished the opportunities to have a career in sports. His ESPN family wishes to extend our deepest condolences and full support to Kyle’s loved ones… Kyle will be greatly missed,” the statement concluded.

Born in 1981, Kyle Brown played college baseball at Ohio State as a pitcher. As a director and staffer of ESPN, he won two Sports Emmy Awards and was one of the longest-serving employees.

He was survived by his wife, Megan, and four children Makayla, Carson, Camden, and Madyn.
