Kyi Hla Han, a former executive chairman of the Asian Tour and a professional golfer from Myanmar died on February 19, 2022, in Singapore, at the age of 61.

According to France24, Kyi Hla Han died as a result of cancer-related complications.
Cho Minn Thant, the Asian Tour’s commissioner and chief executive, called him “one of the finest players in gold” in a statement to the press.

Hla Han was a major figure in Asian golf, both as a player and as a referee. After retiring from competition in 2004, he was instrumental in the establishment of Asian golf, having represented Myanmar in five World Cups.
Han began his professional career in 1980 and went on to win 12 times over his 25-year playing career.
In addition to winning the Singapore Open in 1994 and the Volvo China Open in 1999, he also won the Asian Tour Order of Merit in the same year.
The family is yet to announce his funeral and burial arrangements.
