In a Facebook Live session recently discovered by Zionfelix.net, Kwame Mickey publicly accused Team Eternity of using a portion of a song for which he owns the copyright, without obtaining permission.

Specifically, he pointed out that the beginning of their song ‘Defe Defe’ incorporates a segment from the song in question.

Kwame Mickey clarified that the original song was written by Osuani Afrifa and was entrusted to Hallelujah Voices for performance.

He asserted that he acquired the rights to this song from the original creators and possesses all necessary documentation to substantiate his ownership.

However, he made it clear that Osuani Afrifa remains the rightful owner of the intellectual property as the composer. Kwame emphasized that Team Eternity should have approached him for permission before incorporating the copyrighted portion into their song.

Expressing his desire for a resolution, Kwame Mickey appealed to Team Eternity as fellow Christians to rectify the situation. He emphasized that he would not pursue harsh measures if they acknowledge their mistake and take corrective action promptly.

Additionally, Kwame Mickey acknowledged the musical quality of Team Eternity’s rendition despite the copyright issue.
