The allegations emerged on social media, alleging that the MP had solicited sexual favours to manipulate academic grades during his time as a lecturer at the University of Ghana.

In response, Professor Nyarko issued a robust statement denying any such wrongdoing, asserting that he has no recollection of any encounters with an individual by the name of Amuse Bouche.

He challenged the accuser to come forward publicly, disclose her identity, and formally report the matter to university authorities for a thorough investigation.

The MP stressed the importance of providing specific details, such as the timing of the alleged incident, the academic programme involved, and the courses he taught, to substantiate the claims.

Acknowledging the seriousness of the allegations, the MP highlighted the University of Ghana’s protocols for addressing sexual harassment and urged both the accuser and the institution to disclose any prior complaints and their resolutions.

Professor Nyarko denounced what he perceived as a deliberate smear campaign designed to besmirch his character.

He reassured his constituents, family, and supporters of his innocence, categorically stating that the allegation is a groundless fabrication aimed at damaging his reputation.
