Hansen was born on May 14, 2002, in Kerteminde, Denmark, and started his youth career in 2011 with the club Kerteminde, where he spent four seasons. He then spent another five seasons playing for the youth wing of the Danish club Midtjylland.
Hansen made his professional debut with Midtjylland in 2021, during the Danish Cup.
He was later transferred to Esbjerg, and in the same year, he was transferred a second time to the Swedish club Häcken, where he appeared in 59 games.
