Sarcoidosis, according to the Mayo Clinic, is a disease caused by the formation of tiny clusters of inflammatory cells known as granulomas.
Those who have it battle with granulomas spreading throughout the body, often through the lungs and lymph nodes.
Symptoms of sarcoidosis include chest pain, exhaustion, fainting, fast heartbeats, and edoema, among others.
There is no cure for the condition. Usually, the symptoms go away on their own. Other times, a person may be treated based on the symptoms they exhibit. In severe cases, one can be treated with medication, physical therapy, continual heart monitoring, and surgery.
