Kpebu Claims Audio Tape in Ato Forson Trial Has Damaged Ghana’s Reputation

Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has stated that the audio recording of a conversation between Attorney-General Godfred Dame and the accused Richard Jakpa in the Ato Forson trial has tarnished Ghana’s reputation.

According to Martin Kpebu, the Attorney-General is merely attempting to maintain a positive facade by suggesting that the recording has not harmed Ghana in any significant way.

During an interview on Ghana Tonight Show on TV3, on Thursday, June 13, Kpebu remarked, “He is just putting a grave face on a very bad situation, that tape has damaged us, it has damaged Ghana as a nation. It is surprising that we are paying politics without…it just shows that as a nation we are so weak.”

On Thursday, June 13, the High Court admitted the audio recording into evidence.

“High Court admits audio recording between Richard Jakpa and Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame into evidence,” TV3’s Laud Adu Asare, who was present in court on Thursday, June 13, reported.
