Throughout his career, Kool Moe Dee released seven studio albums, with five of them being solo projects. His final studio album to date, “Interlude,” was released in 1994.

Kool Moe Dee was known for his fast and aggressive rap delivery, which influenced a generation of rap figures, including luminaries such as Big Daddy Kane, Beastie Boys, KRS-One, Rakim, Will Smith, N.W.A, Tupac Shakur, Nas, and Jay-Z, amongst many others.
Some of his most famous songs, such as “Go See the Doctor,” “Wild Wild West,” and “How Ya Like Me Now,” remain iconic tracks that continue to energize fans and inspire new generations of artists.
In recognition of his exceptional talent and contributions to hip hop, Kool Moe Dee was ranked No. 33 on About.com’s list of the 50 Greatest MCs of Our Time (1987–2007).
