Actor Kodi Smit-McPhee was born in Australia on June 13, 1996. He became well-known as a kid actor thanks to his main performances in Let Me In (2010) and The Road (2009). He voiced the lead role in the 2012 film ParaNorman, and he also made appearances in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, X-Men: Apocalypse, Alpha, and Dark Phoenix.

Smit-McPhee won praise from critics in 2021 for portraying a damaged adolescent in Jane Campion’s western The Power of the Dog. He was recognized for his performance with a number of honors, including a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Sonja Smit and Andy McPhee welcomed Smit-McPhee into the world on June 13, 1996 in Adelaide, South Australia. Actor and former professional wrestler, his father is also an actor. At the age of 16, Smit-McPhee was identified as having ankylosing spondylitis, a degenerative form of arthritis that can cause the spine’s vertebrae to fuse and result in long-term suffering and blindness.
