KJ Smith is an American actress known for her work in television and film. As of this writing, KJ Smith and her husband Skyh Alvester Black do not have any children.

She gained recognition for her roles in various TV series and movies. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Florida State University and later worked in corporate America.
KJ Smith later returned to Florida A&M University to pursue her education in journalism. Smith began her acting career in 2009 and has since acted in various series such as The Quad, The Fix, and Queen Sugar.

Smith had her breakout in 2018 as Andrea “Andi” Barnes in BET’s blockbuster television series Sistas. Smith can also be seen in season two of the Power prequel series, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, on STARZ as Palomar. Smith played Nicole Wright in the 2020 film The Available Wife.
In addition to her work on television, Smith has also appeared in several films. Smith’s film credits include The Possession of Hannah Grace, A Madea Family Funeral (2019), and Fatal Affair, in addition to her work on television.
