Hesketh-Harvey was arguably best known as part of the musical comedy duo Kit and the Widow with pianist Richard Sisson, a fellow Cambridge Footlights member.
During their three-decade career, Kit and the Widow headlined countless comedy events and also supported Joan Rivers when she performed in the UK.
Among his many other jobs, he wrote for Rowan Atkinson, worked on The Vicar of Dibley, and collaborated with James McConnel & McConnel.
“We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of long-term PBJ Management friend and client Kit Hesketh-Harvey today,” his representative told The Independent.
“Kit died abruptly but calmly while listening to Radio 3 and getting ready for a Kit & McConnel show.”
