Khrushchev Ekwueme Obituary, Funeral

The news reaching our firm is that a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Practice, Khrushchev Ekwueme has kicked the bucket.

Khrushchev Ekwueme reportedly died on the 21st of December 2022. The news was confirmed by Chidi Odinkalu, the former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Twitter.

Khrushchev Ekwueme whilst alive, specialized in International Economic Law, International Dispute Resolution, International Commercial Arbitration, Public Interest Litigation, and White Collar Crime Prosecution.

He attended BL Nigerian Law School, LL.M University of Hamburg, Ph.D. University of Hamburg Hague Academy of International Law Humboldt University School of Law, and The Hague Academy of International Law and Visiting Researcher at the Harvard Law School.

The late Khrushchev Ekwueme acted for governments, as well as banks and oil and gas companies. He was active on a range of arbitration and litigation mandates.

Information about his burial service and the venue for the funeral has not yet been communicated. We are following up closely and updates will be done accordingly.
