Kerry Ann Thomson is the wife of Anthony Varvaro, a former Major League Baseball pitcher who retired in 2016 to become a police officer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Kerry and Varvaro got married in 2011 in a ceremony which took place at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Brighton on Dec. 2.
The wedding was officiated by Rev. Louis Jerome, which was followed by a reception in the Staaten in West Brighton.
Kerry is the daughter of Barbara and James Thomson of New Brighton and she selected her sister, Meghan Thomson, as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Julie Creighton, Jennifer Tait, Diana Varvaro, Toni Moss and Jennifer Gallo. The flower girl was Rosanna Thomson.

Kerry is a graduate of Curtis High School. She earned both a bachelor of arts degree in education and a master of arts degree in special education from the College of Staten Island.
She is a teacher with Prall Intermediate School, West Brighton.
Sadly, on Sept. 11, 2022, after 11 years of marriage, she lost her husband after he got involved a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver in Jersey City, New Jersey, a short distance from the Holland Tunnel.
Coincidentally, he was on his way to serve at the World Trade Center Command in commemoration of the September 11 attacks when the accident happened.
