Dixon has cultivated an independent solo discography of deep contemporary R&B that includes the full-lengths Higher Ground (2015), Expectations (2021), and The R&B You Love (2023), among numerous EPs and singles.
Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, specifically the neighborhood of Watts, Dixon grew up in a devoutly religious household that forbade secular music, though his parents were involved in the church as musicians. Deeply involved as a youngster in dance and musical theater, Dixon eventually got into singing, writing, and producing R&B.
He established himself during the first half of the 2010s by writing material for Tyrese and that singer’s TGT project with Ginuwine and Tank, such as the single “Sex Never Felt Better.”
