Simultaneously, he chose to be politically unaffiliated, underscoring his shift in political allegiance.
The latest and most notable chapter in Chesebro’s legal career unfolded in August 2023 when he and eighteen others faced indictment in the Georgia election racketeering prosecution.
The allegations center around their involvement in a conspiracy to subvert the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
On October 20, 2023, Kenneth Chesebro took a decisive step by pleading guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to commit filing false documents. As part of his plea agreement, he accepted a sentence of five years of probation, $5,000 in restitution, and 100 hours of community service.
Perhaps most significantly, he committed to testifying against former President Donald Trump and the remaining defendants.
