Chandler was drafted by the Spurs in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft with the 38th overall selection.

Kennedy Chandler scouting report

Chandler has unique ball handling skills as he gives up a limited amount of turnovers while finding creative ways to crack the opponent’s defense.

Chandler is adept at driving toward the basket and either finishing at the rim, or dishing the rock out to an open teammate for an easy jumper.

Chandler’s small size is often pointed out as a potential weakness due to the high probability of him being targeted by plenty of other teams with a bigger backcourt, making him somewhat of a liability in certain situations especially as a rookie.

Though Chandler is adept at shooting the ball from three, he’ll need some work on his consistency as a perimeter scorer, but over time he should be very capable of becoming a three-point threat.
