Angela Paxton is a politician from the American state of Texas. Angela Paxton is the wife of Ken Paxton a Texas attorney and politician who has been the state’s Attorney General since January 2015.

They have four children together. Angela Paxton has represented Texas Senate District 8 as a Republican since 2019. Paxton worked at Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, Texas, as a guidance counselor.
In 2018, she was elected to the state senate after defeating fellow Republican Philli Huffines in the primary and Democrat Mark Phariss in the general election.

Paxton introduced Senate Bill 860, which would give her husband, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the authority to issue exemptions from securities regulations.
The proposal, billed as a consumer protection measure, would allow approved individuals to serve as investment advisers without having to register with the state board.
Angela Paxton stated that the bill to change state securities law “has literally nothing to do” with her husband Ken Paxton’s criminal case.
