Born on June 22, 1999, in San Antonio, Texas, Mond played high school football at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and played college football at Texas A&M.

While in college, he recorded over 9,000 career passing yards with 1,500 rushing yards. Also, at the 2021 Senior Bowl, Mond won the most valuable player award.
In 2021, Mond was drafted as 66th overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the NFL Draft, and signed a four-year rookie contract with the team.
In 2022, Mond began playing for the the Cleveland Browns, after he was waived by the Vikings.
