Keanu Reeves is a Canadian actor famous for his excellent roleplay in the movies “The Matrix” as well as “John Wick”.

Keanu Charles Reeves was born on September 2, 1964, in Beirut, Lebanon to parents, Patricia Taylor (costume designer) and Samuel Reeves, Jr. (a Chinese-Hawaiian geologist).

Keanu and his mother moved to Sydney, Australia for a year where Keanu’s first sister Kim was born in 1966, following their parents’ divorce. They later moved to New York City, where his mother married Broadway and Hollywood director Paul Aaron before finally settling in Toronto, where Reeves attained Canadian citizenship and spent most of his formative years.

Keanu Reeves was not successful at education as he went to four different high schools including Etobicoke School of the Arts from where he was expelled. He also attended schools like De La Salle College and the Toronto School for the Performing Arts but he dropped out completely at age 17 to pursue his acting career.

Keanu Reeves Career

Keanu’s career went as far as the age of 9 where he appeared in a summer camp production of “Damn Yankees”. Keanu Reeves was about to start a career as a professional hockey player but opted for acting after an injury and a trip to New York City changed his mind.

Keanu took acting courses at night after high school before joining community theatre productions and got an agent. His first professional roles was on a local Toronto television program called “Hanging In” where he played a “tough street kid.”

Keanu Reeves big break arguably came in 1989, with “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” but it was the 1994 movie ‘Speed’ which shot him up to fame in Hollywood making him a big-budget action star. Although some other movies afterwards didn’t do well, Reeves’ career touched the heights with Wachowski Brothers’ sci-fi ‘The Matrix’ where he excellently portrayed the character ‘Neo’.

Keanu received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame in 2005 and has gone ahead to establish himself as one of the most sought after actors with versatile talent and mature demeanour.
