Renowned Japanese manga artist and game creator Kazuki Takahashi has been found dead on July 6, 2022.

Kazuo Takahashi, known professionally as Kazuki Takahashi, was best known for creating Yu-Gi-Oh!. He was born on October 4, 1961, in Tokyo, Japan. However, there is not much available information regarding his family background, educational background and childhood.

Kazuki Takahashi was found dead on July 6, 2022, 300 meters off the shore of Nago, Okinawa, by Japan Coast Guard officers. He reportedly died a few days prior to the discovery of his corpse.
Although the official cause of death has not been revealed to the media yet, it is rumoured that he died from a reef shark attack apparently while snorkelling. His body had reportedly sustained several injuries, mostly to the belly and lower parts of the body and evidence of scavenging animals could be seen.
Kazuki Takahashi rose to prominence after he launched Yu-Gi-Oh! in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1996. His work was serialized until 2004 and has sold over 40 million copies. The series received an anime television series and a trading card game.
