McGlynn is best known for her roles as Jodie “Scout” Allen in Waterloo Road (2011–2013), Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street (2013–2020), and Becky Quentin in Hollyoaks (2021–2022).
McGlynn was awarded the best serial drama performance for her heartbreaking scenes in Coronation Street as tragic Sinead at the National Television Awards 2020.
Also, the death of Sinead was nominated for this 2021’s Must-See Moment at the BAFTA Television Awards.

McGlynn was announced as the seventh star on Strictly Come Dancing 2021 line-up and when speaking to the BBC ahead of the announcement, McGlynn said:
“It’s been so hard keeping it a secret, but I can finally say that I’m getting ready to shake my shimmy and become part of the Strictly family!”
McGylnn’s net worth is under review but it is estimated at $2 million.
McGlynn was born on 16th July 1993 and graduated from Wardle High School in Rochdale.
At the age of ten, McGlynn began drama school.
McGlynn also studied A-levels in Drama, English Literature and Media Studies.
