Kateryna Baindl is married to her fitness coach Michael Baindl. Michael Baindl is a German ice hockey player who played for Starbulls Rosenheim in the DEL2. Kateryna Baindl has not revealed enough identifying information regarding her partner.

At the Poland Open, Kateryna Baindl reached the semifinals as a qualifier where she lost to Ana Bogdan. At the Emilia-Romagna Open in Parma, Kateryna Baindl qualified for the main draw where she was defeated by world No. 7 and top seed, Maria Sakkari.
On 19 February 2018, Kateryna Baindl achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 62. On 22 October 2012, she peaked at No. 139 in the doubles rankings.
To date, Kateryna Baindl has won one singles title on the WTA Challenger Tour, and five singles, and 13 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.
