Kate Spade Husband: Who Is Andy Spade?

Andrew Spade is a businessman from the United States best known as the husband of designer Kate Spade. With his wife, Kate Spade, he co-founded the fashion label Kate Spade New York, as well as the design firm Partners & Spade.

Spade was the middle child in a family of three brothers.  He was born in Michigan. During college, he and a friend established the advertising firm Spade & Hannawell, which was named one of Arizona’s Top Ten New Companies in 1987.

From 1994 until her death on June 5, 2018, Anthony Spade was married to designer Kate Brosnahan known professionally as Kate Spade. Frances Beatrix Spade, their only child, was born in February 2005.

Andy released a statement at the time of Kate’s death, acknowledging that the couple had been living separately but close to each other for the previous ten months, even though they were not legally separated. Their 13-year-old daughter lived with both of them at the time.
