Kane Brown has a multiracial identity. He has a white mother, Tabatha Brown, and an African-American father who is also part Cherokee.

Kane Allen Brown was born on October 21, 1993, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. Kane Brown released his first EP, titled Closer, in June 2015, and followed it with a new single, “Used to Love You Sober”, in October 2015.

In February 2021, Kane Brown established his own record label, 1021 Entertainment, in partnership with Sony Nashville. Later that same year, Brown made history by becoming the first black person to win Video of the Year at the ACM Awards for his hit song “Worldwide Beautiful”.

Kane Brown released his first full-length album, the self-titled Kane Brown, on December 2, 2016. His second album, Experiment, was released in November 2018 and became his first album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

In September 2020, Brown announced a drive-in concert, held at more than 200 theatres across the U.S. on September 26, 2020.
