Kamala Harris is the first female vice president and the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history, as well as the first African American and first Asian American vice president.

Kamala Harris has been underfire following a bizzarre speech she gave on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 during a bilateral meeting with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness to discuss the COVID response on the island.

In a speech surrounding the meeting, kamala Harris compounded her communication woes by delivering a bit of word salad.

‘We also recognized, just as it has been in the United States, for Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way its impact has been the pandemic,’ Harris said.

Kamala Harris continued the confusing speech by saying:

‘So to that end, we are announcing today also that we will assist Jamaica in COVID recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential to I believe what is necessary to strengthen not only the issue of public health, but also the economy.’

Dr. Jonathan Bronitsky, who served as chief speechwriter to then-Attorney General Bill Barr said of the remarks:

‘An outside observer can only speculate about the reasons for the declining lucidity of Kamala Harris’s extemporaneous remarks––maybe she’s distracted, nervous, underprepared, or perhaps some combination of the above.’
