Popular theatre- film actor Kainakary Thankaraj breathed his last at his residence in Keralapuram on Sunday (April 3) at the age of 77 years.

Hailing from Keralapuram, Kollam, Kainakary Thankaraj made his acting debut with the Prem Nazir starrer film ‘Aana Paachan’ which was released in the year 1978.
The actor however got wide recognition from the audience by playing the role of Vavachan in the film ‘Ee. Ma.Yau’.
