The Nigerian entertainment industry is grieving the loss of the talented actor Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, widely known as Junior Pope.

The actor tragically lost his life in a boat accident.
In a video that surfaced online just hours before the fatal accident, Junior Pope was captured riding on a boat and earnestly asking the boat driver to reduce the speed. He shared his worries, mentioning that he was an only child and wished to be the one to raise his three children.
“Abeg no vex, you hear? Na only me them born, no vex. Bobo, you dey run, na only me them born, ooo. I get three children, na me go raise them.”
Adding “I got three children, who will raise them? I beg, Oh Jesus, what is this? Don’t speed. See the risk we take to entertain you. Live and direct on River Niger,” he said.
Junior Pope further elaborated on the risks they endure to entertain movie enthusiasts.
“See me lamenting… The risk we take to entertain you; crossing River Niger yesterday with no life jacket… Na wahoooooo… Who does that?. “I am begging the captain that I’m the only child and I have three boys, I will raise them. Calm down with the speed.”
