Judith Durham AO was an Australian singer, songwriter, and musician who rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Seekers, an Australian popular folk music group, in 1963.

Judith Durham passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the age of 79. Durham is believed to have died in a hospital on Friday night after battling chronic lung disease.
She had been receiving palliative care at the Alfred Hospital before her death from disease complications.

Judith Durham was born in Melbourne. At the age of 19, she released her first EP and rose to international prominence after joining The Seekers.
After leaving The Seekers, she released several solo albums. Durham was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to music in 1995, particularly as an entertainer and composer, as well as the Centenary Medal in 2003.
Her most recent album, So Much More, a previously unreleased collection of songs, was released in 2018 to commemorate her 75th birthday.
