Joy McKean children: Meet Anne Kirkpatrick and David Kirkpatrick – Joy McKean’s children from her marriage to Slim Dusty are Anne and David Kirkpatrick.

Anne and David Kirkpatrick are both skilled singers and songwriters.

Joy, her husband, and their children Anne and Davidy began annual round-Australia excursions in 1964, which included a 30,000-mile, 10-month trek that was the subject of a feature film, The Slim Dusty Movie, in 1984.

The Slim Dusty Movie, released in 1984, features multiple performances by Anne Kirkpatrick. Kirkpatrick will also appear in the Australian documentary Slim and I, which will be released in 2020.

Anne Kirkpatrick was born on July 4, 1952, and received Golden Guitar Awards at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 1979, 1991, and 1992.

She also won an ARIA Award for Best Australian Country Record in 1992 and appeared on the 1990 compilation album Breaking Ground – New Directions in Country Music which was nominated for the 1991 ARIA Award for Best Country Album.

Joy McKean, their mother, died on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the age of 93, following a lengthy fight with cancer.
