A cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL), Jourdan Julian Lewis was born on August 31, 1995.

Lewis earned a scholarship to play football from the University of Michigan. He played in 13 games as a freshman, making 17 tackles and deflecting two passes.

He played in 12 games as a sophomore (seven of which he started), recording 39 tackles, 28 solo tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and six passes defended. In the third game of the year, he was selected as the starting.

He started 13 of the games as a junior and recorded 52 tackles (3.5 for loss), two interceptions, and 20 passes defensed (third in the FBS). He also returned kickoffs an average of 25.2 yards.
