Joko Gvardiol is a Croatian professional football player who competes for both the Croatian national team and Bundesliga club RB Leipzig as a defender. He is a left-back who can also play as a center-back.

At the age of seven, Gvardiol began playing football after his father, a former amateur player in Novigrad, introduced him to Trenjevka.
He was seen by Lokomotiva and Zagreb while there, but his family later accepted an offer from Dinamo Zagreb after he received it.
Gvardiol was a member of Zlatko Dali’s 26-man roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup on November 9, 2022.
