Josh Hawley Early Life
Hawley was born on December 31, 1979, in Springdale, Arkansas.
His father, Ronald Hawley, was a banker and his mother, Virginia Hawley, was a teacher.
Hawley was privately schooled at the Lexington Middle School and then Rockhurst High School, in Kansas City, Missouri.

While in high school, Hawley was a columnist for The Lexington News, where he wrote on topics bordering on the government and the military.

He proceeded to Stanford University, where he graduated from the department of history, and later would study law.
Josh Hawley Career
After graduating from law school, Hawley spent two years working as a law clerk for Judge Michael W. McConnell and Chief Justice John Roberts.
He worked for the U.S. Supreme Court from 2007 to 2008.
Hawley went ahead to practice law privately at the law firm Hogan & Hartson for about three years. For another four years, he worked with the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty at its Washington, D.C., offices.
Hawley later returned to the University of Missouri Law School, where he taught constitutional law, as an associate professor.
