Wales rugby international Josh Adams has married his fiancée Georgia Davies at a stunning wedding in the company of members of the Welsh team.

The couple’s wedding reception was held at Llanerch Vineyard in Hensol, just around the corner from the Wales team’s training base. Guests included Wales team-mates Leigh Halfpenny, Liam Williams, Gareth Anscombe, Gareth Davies, Wyn Jones and their wives and partners. A live band performed at the reception, with the couple’s first dance an acoustic version of Bryan Adams’ Heaven.

Adams sacrificed missing the birth for the chance to achieve arguably a rugby player’s greatest honor. Georgia went into labor hours before the winger was due to play a match in South Africa.

In the Lions documentary that followed, he revealed how close he came to turning down a place on the plane.

“There were many a conversation had, a lot of tears, I can tell you that. I was so close to saying: ‘Look, I’m very grateful for being selected but I can’t go’,” he said.

“My fiancée and my family were so supportive, they were saying it was once in a lifetime and you might never get to represent the Lions again.”

The Premiership tour was held on 22 December 2017. In this tour, Welsh defeated the Irish, and Adams attained 2 tries which make him the top try scorer in the Premiership.

Adams signed a long-term contract with Cardiff Rugby on 19 March 2019 for the 2019-2020 Pro14 season.

Adams was named in Wales’s main squad to play in the Six Nations Championship 2018.

He was a call-up for Wales’ opening game against Scotland on 30 January 2018. Adams was selected for the tour of the 2019 Six Nations Championship. His team Wales won the Six Nations grand slam.

Adam has participated in the Rugby World Cup 2019. On 9 October he scored 3 tries against Fiji and Welsh won 29–17.

Adams attained a hat-trick against Italy in the Six Nations tour on 1 February 2020 and Wales won this match.
