Facing off against the 12th-ranked Martinez in a bantamweight clash, Aldo showcased his skills in front of a hometown crowd at Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

In the final round, Aldo landed a significant left hand that rocked Martinez, followed by a takedown, showcasing his versatility in both striking and grappling. Maintaining control on the ground, Aldo secured the round and the fight, with all three judges scoring the bout unanimously in his favor.
The judges’ scorecards read 30-27, 30-27, and 30-27, cementing Aldo’s triumphant return to the UFC with a well-deserved victory over Martinez.
