Jonathan Majors sentenced to one year of Domestic Violence Intervention Program

Actor Jonathan Majors has been sentenced to a 52-week domestic violence intervention program following his conviction for reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in December 2023.

The charges, classified as a misdemeanor and a violation, carried a maximum sentence of one year in prison.

Prosecutors requested a sentence involving domestic violence programming, with the provision of a six-month jail alternative if Majors failed to complete the program, along with a full order of protection for the victim, Jabbari.

The 52-week program is set to be conducted in person in Los Angeles, with a full order of protection granted for Jabbari.

Additionally, Majors is required to continue mental health counseling and therapy, providing the court with regular updates on his treatment progress.

His first compliance date is scheduled for September 13, 2024. Failure to comply could result in a sentence of up to 364 days in jail for the misdemeanor.

Majors’ attorneys have requested the possibility of conducting some sessions virtually, citing potential future employment opportunities in the film industry.

Judge Michael Gaffey stated that Majors’ attorneys could file a request with the court for virtual sessions if such employment opportunities arise.
