John Zderko famously known for his role in Criminal Minds passed away at the age of 60 following complications from his cancer treatment.

His friend and fellow actor Charlie Koontz shared the devastating news on social media after breaking it to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, May 26. He tweeted: “A great friend and an excellent actor gone way too soon.
The beloved actor made his screen debut in 2005 and has since appeared in films such as 9-1-1: Lone Star, Dirty John, and The Player. John has also been in the TV show The Mentalist.

His most recent performances include Bleeker Street’s Breaking, which had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, and Bosch: Legacy.
John was born in Ohio and raised in Ohio, Colorado, and New Jersey. He received his bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine and began pursuing acting workshops at UCLA.
John is survived by his sister, Karen, brother-in-law Steve and nephews Jason and Jeff
