Nuttall’s dedication to the sport led him to don the British colors at two World Championships in Athletics and an impressive five appearances at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships.

His international presence included a silver medal at the 1994 IAAF World Cup and a bronze at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, affirming his status as a seasoned competitor.
In his thirties, Nuttall made his final high-profile appearance at the 1998 IAAF World Cross Country Championships, securing 75th place.
Embracing road running in his late thirties, he achieved notable feats, completing the 2007 London Marathon in 2:57:26 and finishing the Great North Run in 82:32 minutes.
Nuttall’s legacy echoes in his athletic achievements and the inspiration he imparted to runners worldwide.
Nuttall passed away on November 9, 2023, in Doha, Qatar, at the age of 56, after suffering from a heart attack.
