The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, took his campaign to the Canoe Wharf vicinity of the Tema Fishing Harbour on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

He interacted with a variety of individuals at the wharf, including traders, fishmongers, fishermen, fish processors, owners of canoes and other equipment, and other stakeholders.

He reassured them that his government would strive to rejuvenate the fishing sector by guaranteeing the timely delivery of crucial supplies, such as premix fuel and outboard motors, to the landing beach committees and chief fishermen.
The NDC leader also pledged that artisanal fishing would be exempted from the closed-season policy.
Mahama also underscored the urgency of taking immediate actions to revitalize the Ghanaian economy, curb inflation, and work together to construct the Ghana we aspire to achieve.
