Born on July 16, 1946, John Hollins started his career at the youth level in 1963 and played for Chelsea. He went on to play for several club teams in his senior career. Some of these teams are Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers, Arsenal, and Ramblers.

He also managed a few teams before his death. The teams are Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers, Swansea City, Rochdale, Stockport County, Crawley Town, and Weymouth.

Hollins was reported dead by his son, Chris Hollins on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at age 76. No cause of death was announced.

My hero, best friend, and dad left us today. He was so modest but  I will say it. He was a great player, a brilliant teammate, and one hell of a person. My mum, sister, and all his grandchildren will miss him so much,” Chris Hollins wrote in a Twitter post.
