Cena started his wrestling career in 1998 as a bodybuilder, and became a pro wrestler in 1999, before taking part in the Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) championship.
The 16-time world champion signed with the WWE in 2001 and under the developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), he won the Heavyweight Championship, and the Tag Team Championship.
