His most recent victory came at the South African Open in December 2020. He also won the Alfred Dunhill Links that same year. The South African’s caddy, though, is who?
Johan Swanepoel: Who is Christiaan Bezuidenhout caddy?
Johan Swanepoel, a fellow countryman, serves as Christiaan Bezuidenhout’s caddie. Swanepoel, a Mossel Bay native who turned professional in 2013, has caddied for a number of well-known athletes including Bezuidenhout.
The most recent golfers he has caddied for include Daniel Im of the American Tour, Lee-Ann Pace, and South Africans Brandon Stone, and Darren Fichardt. Swanepoel has been on the bag for all three of the South African’s DP World Tour victories, however, it is unclear exactly when he and Bezuidenhout teamed up.

Yet before this, he was quite the player himself when he was younger. Swanepoel participated in the SA junior golf squad that competed in Namibia when he was 16 (Grade 10), and at the ages of 16 and 17, he won the Mossel Bay golf club championships. Swanepoel also competed in hockey, cricket, and rugby for the first team.
Swanepoel holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, which he earned in 2013. He briefly participated on the men’s golf team while he was there. Swanepoel also owns On Point Tours, a travel agency that designs custom itineraries throughout South Africa.
Some noteworthy facts about Swanepoel include the fact that Nelson Mandela is his most significant influence and that Louis Oosthuizen is his favorite golfer.
