Chad Hatternbrun was the husband of Joey Hattenbrun who was murdered by her father-in-law. Chad and his son have stayed out of the spotlight after her murder and his whereabouts are unknown.

Chad revealed during her murder trial that they were having marital troubles and that he was chatting to someone he met online.
Joey Hattenbrun was severely injured in the driveway on September 16, 2011, and was bleeding profusely. Chad and their son were the ones who discovered her.

When Chad noticed Joey’s condition, he dialled 911, and she was taken to the hospital for treatment right away.
Doctors were unable to resuscitate her due to severe blood and serious wounds, and she died. Doctors discovered numerous fractures in her skull, as well as a brain contusion and defensive wounds, during her treatment.
Brett Hattenbrun, Chad’s father, got a life sentence for the murder of Joey Lynn Hattenbrun.
