Joeboy’s Collaborations is Based on Personal Connections with the artist and that Includes Kwesi Arthur

Popular Nigerian Afrobeat artiste, Joeboy has disclosed that he collaborates with Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur because of a personal connection. The two have so far worked together on two songs: “Door,” in which Joeboy featured Kwesi Arthur, and “Baajo,” in which the Ghanaian rapper featured Joeboy.

Speaking in an interview with Chrystal Kwame-Aryee on 3FM Drive on April 4, the ‘Alcohol’ stated that he exclusively works with artists with whom he is personally acquainted.

“It wasn’t even an intentional thing. So for me, I like to create music with people that I connect with on a personal level, like, almost all, like, even when I and Kwesi Arthur and did ‘Baadjo’, he’s my kind of person, we could have conversations for hours without having anything major to talk about,” he said.

Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus popularly known as Joeboy stressed the need to have a personal relationship with the artists he works with.
